FAQ

Q: What is a quarterly seasonal lawn treatment?

A: A quarterly seasonal lawn treatment is a structured visit every three months where your Lawnpro specialist applies a complete programme of fertilisers, weed control, and basic pest management tailored to the season. During the visit, he sprays a unique blend of liquid fertilisers and lawn boosters evenly over the lawn, then applies a slow‑release granular fertiliser at the correct rate to support steady growth between treatments.

He also treats broadleaf and grass-type weeds on the lawn, targets unwanted weeds on paved areas, and finishes by spraying for ants around the foundations of your house, at no additional cost to you, helping to keep both the lawn and the immediate surrounds clean and protected.

Q: How long does a quarterly seasonal lawn treatment take to complete?

A: The duration of a quarterly seasonal lawn treatment depends on the size of your lawn and the extent of weed infestation. In most cases, it takes roughly 30-60min to treat a 200m2 lawn.

Q: How much does a quarterly seasonal lawn treatment cost?

A: The cost of a quarterly seasonal lawn treatment depends primarily on the size of your lawn, which is accurately measured on site using app‑based software. It also depends on any specific problems identified by the lawn specialist during the lawn analysis, with issues such as lawn diseases and mole cricket infestations quoted separately. Pricing is calculated on a sliding scale based on these factors, with the per m² rate decreasing as the total lawn area increases.

Q: How long before I can expect to see some results?

A: You should start to notice a difference within about 14 days after a treatment, provided you water correctly according to our instructions. Some weeds may take longer to respond to the products applied, so full results can continue to develop over the following weeks.

Q: How often do you need to treat a lawn?

A: Our seasonal programme works on a 13‑week cycle, with a treatment carried out at least once in every season. This ensures the lawn receives season‑specific care and consistent support throughout the year.

Q: Are any of the treatments harmful in any way?

A: Our work does involve the use of chemical herbicides and pesticides, but we do not use glyphosate in any of our treatments. All products are applied at rates that are considered safe for humans and pets, even though we are required to wear protective respiratory masks in line with national health and safety regulations. You may notice some temporary discolouration of the lawn in areas where weed control has been applied, but this will grow out and disappear with subsequent mowing. Children and pets can use the lawn again as soon as the product has dried on the grass.

Q: I use a weekly garden service, will it interfere with your treatments?

A: In most cases, a regular garden service will not interfere with our treatments, provided the mowing is timed correctly. If you use a weekly service, we recommend that you do not mow your lawn for four days before a treatment and for three days after a treatment. This allows the products to be properly absorbed and ensures the best possible results.

Q: How much water does my lawn need?

A: The amount of water your lawn needs depends on several factors, including soil type, the type of sprinkler used, and available water pressure. Under typical conditions, a lawn requires around 25mm of water per week. Your Lawnpro lawn care specialist will show you exactly how to calculate the correct amount of water for your specific lawn and soil conditions.

Q: How short should I mow my lawn?

A: The ideal mowing height depends on factors such as the grass species and whether the lawn is in full sun or shade. Your Lawnpro lawn care specialist will show you exactly how to determine and set the correct mowing height for your specific grass and site conditions.
